FUE method is the most advanced hair transplantation method together with DHI. The most obvious difference is that in the FUE technique, channel must be opened. Therefore, during FUE hair transplantation, more than one staff works at the same time throughout the operation to speed up the process.
In this technique, hair follicles from the donor area are taken by means of a micromotor without damaging the hair follicle. These roots, which come out of their places, are then collected by the operator. To prepare the grafts for planting, another specialist first takes the collected hair follicles and strings them on a surgical gauze strip. Hair follicles cannot survive for long outside our hair. Therefore, after the grafts are cleaned, they are placed in a special serum solution. The serum protects the hair follicles from environmental effects, especially dehydration (drying). Hair follicles can stay outside the body for about 8-10 hours in this serum solution.
Hair transplantation with the FUE method takes around 7-8 hours average.
During the operation, local anesthesia is applied to the areas first. The anesthetic applied area starts from the nape and extends to the back of the ears. The hairline ends just below the crown area and this area has the strongest hair follicles. Local anesthetics usually have an effect that lasts about 3-6 hours. Afterwards, anesthesia is applied to the area to be transplanted and channels are opened.
Then, as the grafts are ready and the channels are opened, the planting process can begin. Each of the specialists takes a collection of grafts and starts the planting process. Grafts that are judged to be healthier are usually placed in the front row of the canals. Specialists remove each graft. Usually, two or more specialists transplant hair follicles at the same time to save time. This stage takes most of the operation time, because each graft is sensitive and care must be taken during transplantation.
After the FUE hair transplant is completed, our team starts the bandaging process. The transplanted area is definitely not bandaged. Because at this point, the transplanted grafts are too sensitive to withstand any physical contact.
